blitl.us is a URL Shortening service. Using shortened URLs is handy if you need to send long web links in email, shorten them to take less characters in text, SMS, twitter messages, or if you wish to track when the URL you are sending is clicked by your target users.
blitl.us requires a user account to create shortened URLs. Many similar services do not, but we do not intend to compete on volume, just provide a useful service for a small set of users who want more control over their shortened URLs.
